Create a beautiful cabled bookmark. Learn how to use a cable needle to create right and left leaning cables, while practicing pattern reading and basic knitting techniques.
Required Materials: Yarn has been generously donated for each student to create the class project. All other tools and materials will be provided for the duration of the class.
Optional Materials: Students have the option of using personal materials in class. If you elect to provide your own materials, please bring approximately 10-15 yards of worsted weight (size 4) yarn, size US 8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles and stitch markers.
Note: Basic knitting skills (including casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and binding off) are necessary to start this project.

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library.
