Getting headshots can be stressful and expensive. Why not get a free set? This month we will be joining the Melrose photography team for a combined meetup. (tic101)
Performers and photographers, join us for this two part series for portraits around Lake Eola and studio headshots. This event is for performers and photographers at all levels.
Part One: Monday, May 14th
Part Two: Sunday, May 20th
Tips for performers:
Clothes:
Avoid wearing black, white and busy patterns.
Wear something that shows your style and personality.
Clothes should be clean and neatly pressed. (The camera picks up a lot of details)
Dress comfortably but classy.
V-Neck and U-Neck shirts as well as jeans are fine as long as they are not dingy.
Drink plenty of water the night before. (Helps your skin look amazing)
Avoid jewelry and tops that are too bright in color. This can draw away from you.
Hair and Makeup:
Our studio is in a public space so changing and make up rooms are not provided. It is suggested that you come photo ready. There are public restrooms outside of the facility available for changing and makeup application.
Men: Generally men can get by without hair and makeup but a foundation or powder is recommended to help even skin tone and keep from shining on camera. Pick a color close to your skin color.
Women: It is recommended to have professional makeup done. Makeup should be simple and look like you.
Volunteering:
This is an educational session and we are unable to provide compensation. We would like to inform that you will be asked to sign a release form, which allows the library and participants to use the images taken for their portfolios and promotional purposes only.

Please bring a flash drive with you to save your images. We are unable to send images via email or photo sharing through devices.
