Join the Southwest Book Club to discuss this month's selection, Best. State. Ever.: A Florida Man Defends His Homeland by Dave Barry. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author presents a riotous exploration of the Sunshine State that challenges negative stereotypes and offers insights into Florida's roles as a venue of history and fun. It is a great state, and Dave is going to tell you why.

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
