Join the Ready, Set, Code! club to design your own video game from scratch. Create a storyboard to outline your game, then use real code to bring it to life.
This is a multi-day class. The classes run 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays from 01/24/2018 to 03/21/2018.
Day 1: Algorithms and storyboarding.
Day 2: Programs and character design.
Day 3: Debugging and backgrounds.
Day 4: Loops and character movement.
Day 5: Conditionals and the Application Programming Interface.
Day 6: Events and character reactions.
Day 7: Variables and game scoring systems.
Day 8: Functions and organizing programs.
Day 9: Computational thinking and presentations.

Located in a small "Florida Cracker" style building, with an appealing wrap-around porch, the Windermere branch has an interesting history that spans over four decades. Begun as a town library, it became a branch of the Orange County Library System in August 1991. The current building was constructed through the efforts and the generous donations of many Windermere residents, including those of the Franklin P. Chase Family.
