Paving The Way Foundation will be hosting a screening of Trapped in the Trade, a docudrama that shines a light on the world of human trafficking. The film is compelling, engaging and deeply human; showing the reality of unknown dangers in relationships and the allure of being a part of the ‘in’ crowd. It also offers hope by encouraging and empowering you to take action. Following the film a Mission Ambassador with Paving the Way Foundation will be leading a conversation designed to empower you to take actions that can prevent our children from being trafficked. Why is this important?
Here are some facts:
*Florida has the 3rd highest number of calls to the National Trafficking Hotline, only behind California and Texas.
*Orange County has the highest rate of human trafficking cases in the state only behind Hillsborough.
*The average age children are trafficked is 12.
There is a solution and it begins with us! We can stop trafficking today.
* Recommended for children 12 and up with parent supervision. Sensitive topics will be discussed.

The North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, the North Orange branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
