Take the fashion world by storm! We will teach you everything you need to know to start sewing like a pro. Learn to sew your own tote bag from start to finish using professional patterns, fabric of your choice and professional sewing machines in this 3-day class series. Each session will be 2 hours. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes to this class. We provide fabric for your first time taking this class/series. If you choose to come to this class/series more than one time, you will need to provide your own fabric. (Project requires no less than 1 yard of woven fabric.) This is a multi-day class. Skills Required: Participants must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew straight seams and cut fabric Age requirements: 13 to Adult Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Sewing: Introduction to the Sewing Machine Registration is required with a Library card in good standing. Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
