Join us in this basic sewing class and learn about sewing safety, basic sewing machine skills and stitching seams. Get hands-on experience as you explore the world of sewing

Students are required to have basics sewing skills taken in Basic Sewing Level 1, or must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew straight seams and cut fabric. 

Registration is required with a Library card in good standing. Seats are limited, so register today! To register, please call us at 407.835.7323 or visit any of our locations in person.

Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes 

Each session will be 2 hours.

Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Sewing Level 1

South Trail Branch is located in the Orange Blossom Center, a shopping center next to numerous multi-family housing units. It is a welcoming and colorful library full of sunshine and a popular spot for children and families.

South Trail Branch began in 1965 as the Fort Gatlin Branch at 105 Gatlin Avenue and moved to the corner of Holden Avenue and South Orange Blossom Trail in 1981. The move across the street to the current site in the Orange Blossom Center took place in 1996.
