Make adorable ornaments to use as holiday decorations, backpack hangers or keychains. Choose from Yoda, Princess Leia, or Stormtrooper designs.

  • Class Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet Level 4
  • Required Skills: Chaining and working in the round, as well as single, double, half double, and triple crochet stitches
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

  • 20 yards of worsted weight (size 4) yarn in fern green (Yoda), white and black (Stormtrooper), or beige and brown (Leia) 
  • G (4 mm) crochet hook
  • Small amount of fiber fill

Note: Beginning crochet skills are necessary to start this project.  New to crochet? Check out Let's Crochet Level 1.

LYNX Bus Link 27 Ocoee / Winter Garden

West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center is located in the historic city of Ocoee near the intersection of Silver Star and Clark Roads. The branch opened in August 2001 and was designed by Harvard, Jolly, Clees, Toppe Architecture Firm. West Oaks Branch provides exceptional library services to the nearly 50,000 residents of Ocoee and surrounding areas. In January 2015, the branch became the new Genealogy Center for Orange County, housing a collection of over 30,000 genealogy books. The Library is the official repository of the Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The construction of West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center was funded by the Library System and a Florida Library Construction Grant.
