Meet artist JJ Dennis as she discusses her exhibit, Florida Revealed: The Art of JJ Dennis. This dynamic exhibit features photography and mixed media pieces showing the intriguing and often underappreciated aspects of Florida.  Attendees will also enjoy watching Dennis demonstrate techniques used to make a small book.

Dennis is a local freelance writer and artist specializing in altered books, mixed media art and digital photography/manipulation. To learn more about Dennis and her art, visit theparlourobscura.etsy.com or jjdennis13.blogspot.com.

About the branch

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
