Perfect gift for the cook in your life. Learn to sew a Chef's Apron from start to finish using patterns, fabric and professional sewing machines.
Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes to this 3-day series.
Each session will be 2 hours.
We provide the pattern and will be using McCall's Uniform Essentials M2233 for the Chef's Apron.
This is a multi-day class.
Students are required to bring materials:
2 yards of fabric.
1/2 yard of contrast fabric for pockets.
SUGGESTED FABRICS TYPES: Cotton, cotton blends, cotton twill, denim or broadcloth.
Students are required to have basics sewing skills and taken Introduction to the Sewing Machine, and Patterns and Fabric.

Skills Required: Participants must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew straight seams and cut fabric.
Age requirements: 13 to Adult
Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Sewing: Introduction to the Sewing Machine.

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
