Create a beautiful cabled bookmark. Learn how to use a cable needle to create right and left leaning cables, while practicing pattern reading and basic knitting techniques. Materials: Yarn has been generously donated for each student to create the class project. All other tools and materials will be provided for the duration of the class. Students have the option of bringing in materials for class. If you elect to provide your own materials, please bring approximately 20 yards (0.35 ounces) of worsted weight yarn (size 4) and size US 8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles and a cable needle.
The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
